Okay I am not trying to be stupid here but this is a listing of recent selling prices of homes in Broward (33324) but I don't get it? Is the price the asking price? And the assessment what it went for? And why are so many seem to be owned then bought by the same person? Again sorry if I seem dumb...but if I don't ask I ll never know...

The price is the selling price. The assessment is the current value used to obtain property taxes (this would change drastically based on the selling price for the new owner). As for sales to and from the same person, probably a refinance.
