Large apartment in Pembroke pines area (renting, condo, safe area)

Goodnight all,

my name is Dee, I'm a Caribbean woman of middle age moving to the area in a few months. I've visited the are twice and I'm considering renting an apartment at the Avant. I like the layout but apartment is considerable smaller than what I'm used to. Plus you have to pay a separate fee for a garage. A few questions:

1) is this an area for a single middle aged woman?

2) Does anyone know of a property that is a 2/2 with an attached garage that in less than $1900? I find this area to be very expensive. I know, I know, it's close to everything and you have to pay for that. I would even consider renting a condo if it had the space I'm looking for. I like lots of space!!

3) Are there any other safe areas that you would recommend ?
