Can you tell me which of these are the 'good' ones, and which are the ones to stay away from in Sunrise/Plantation?
I was told in previous posts to watch out for these properties..
I am a young female professional looking for a 1-bedroom, preferably gated or secured apartment house. I prefer to keep rent 900-1000
but want to be able to sleep at night!
Thanks!

Yep, pretty much. I stopped and though long and heard about this one. But I can't think of a bad property there. Jacaranda isn't that big and what they do have is decent.

Jacaranda area is nice. I forget the name of the area, but there is an apartment complex on the South side of Sunrise Blvd and Hiatus Rd, used to be called Tuscany. Nice places, we used to stay there about 8 years ago.

Lakepointe at Jacaranda on University Drive is pretty nice. The leasing office staff are the nicest people, especially the manager. I lived there for a year, but wanted a bigger apartment. This complex is in your price range. It is not gated, but I never had any problems and it is very quiet. All the buildings were painted when I lived there (moved out May 2007) and they got all new landscaping and pool furniture.

The Jacaranda area is quite nice. Just look at the unit itself to make sure it's acceptable, the parking is acceptable, etc.
