It depends. Cooper City and Davie have better middle and high schools but Coral Springs elementary schools are mostly (not all) equivalent. However, Davie doesn't have much dining and shopping in city limits and Cooper City will make you yawn it has so little, however it's only 5 minutes to Pembroke Pines. Coral Springs has a restaurant row, nice family events, a mediocre mall (but at least it's something), fairly busy performing arts center, and the distinction of being the 17th safest city in the US (although statistically Cooper City is safer).
Davie has some really affluent parts and some very rural parts, and it also has a small section south off of the Davie Rd extension that looks like skid row. It's mostly middle class however but has a lot of extremes within it's huge and sparsely populated for South Florida (only around 2500 per square mile) city limits. Coral Springs is predominately middle to upper class but has a fair amount of Section 8 housing along some of the main thoroughfares and condo conversions, and it's waaaay more built up. Cooper City is dead center middle class and probably the cleanest out of the three and almost feels Midwestern. But in 5 minutes you can be in Pembroke Pines which built a new upscale "lifestyle center" and has a mid scale mall and restaurants. Lots of various well made ethnic foods in that area too because it's known to be diverse.
Out of all of them I think Cooper City is the most peace of mind, Davie is a nice central location and has some rural flair and preserved open space, and Coral Springs is more urbanized but self contained, also not as homogeneous. Cooper City and Davie are way less congested and have better schools if you are looking at the area for a family, but Coral Springs can work too depending on where your job will be and the envrionment is a little more "upscale" and I think it's also a little nicer for childless couples or singles.

Davie... Newer houses, central location with easy access to just about anything and everything... also close to beach, FLL downtown, airport etc.

I lived in Coral Springs for two years and now reside in Davie. I loved Coral Springs, BUT....it was very frustrating and difficult to try to locate a store. Street frontage signs are not allowed in Coral Springs. If you could see through the thick trees 500 feet away, maybe you could spot the sign right on top of the store. Otherwise, I had to drive into different shopping centers, strip malls, etc...to see if I could find what I was looking for. Almost got into an accident once driving trying to locate a store. Life would be so much easier if they allowed street front signs identifying what businesses are located inside the complex. Same thing with gas stations....can't check the price without driving into the gas station lot to see what is posted on the pumps.
Davie is nice...but definitely has the old southern feel to it. This is good and bad. There are also a lot of trailer parks in Davie... A LOT. If that bothers you, stick with Coral Springs.
Overall, if I didn't have to be closer to work, I would have stayed in Coral Springs despite the bad stuff. Davie has been good to me thus far and I expect it to.
Good luck !

I have never really even noticed this. LOL Now that you mentioned it, it's true. However, I have lived here so long, I know where everything is, so it's obviously not a concern (esp since I've never noticed it).
