Default Target in Davie on University Drive
Girl at my job was car jacketed at this Target. Guy walks up, punches her in the face and pulls her out the car. She fought back, he puts the car in reverse and drags her for a couple feet. The tire ran over her high heel and punctured the front tire. Guy runs off with just her money, left the car. This happened a week or so ago around 9 pm.

Co workers told me the story when it happened but I always assumed it was Miami they were talking about. Then on Thursday if this week one co worker clarified it was Davie. So be careful people.

Thanks for letting us know! I want to know where the cops were! There is always at least one cop car parked out in front there. That is awful.

PLUS...another reason why women should NOT be out at night. I made reference to this months ago and some people thought I was full of it. Opportunistic crimes occur much more frequently at night. Simple as that.

Every day I'm considering getting some kind of pistol and learning to arm myself more and more as criminals start to become more violent. Even if I'm not worried about being victimized, I'm worried about seeing someone else who is. Thanks for that link!

The lady however, COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS. Carjackers look for the oblivious. My door is LOCKED as soon as I get into the car. If she would of just locked her door, problem solved! We don't live in rural Nebraska even if Davie kind of looks like it in some parts! Some places may have less victims than others but it doesn't matter if YOU are the victim.

Fauve is right, they usually have a cop parked over there including that late. They usually seem to be very interactive and responsive too.

you gotta be careful. When I was looking into the concealed weapons permit (this was a few years back). I learned that if a woman is being raped and you shoot the guy you will be convicted of a crime. Your life has to be in clear and present danger.

you dont need to do research. just go take the concealed weapons course. They will teach you everything they need to know. I knew a guy who taught the class, and thats where I got my info from. BUT the laws have changed now in the last two or so years. For example now you can shoot a person on sight if you feel your life is in clear and present danger. Wasn't like that before. Just take the course which they offer at bass pro.
