Default 150k Weston FL

Can a family size 3-4, one child will be away at college bringing family size down to 3 with an annual income of approx 150k afford to live in Weston? Single parent who is in IT field (Cisco Network Engineer). How is IT field in the area. If Weston not affordable where else comparable in salary range.

Your family can EASILY afford to live in Weston with that income. I believe that the median family income in the area is around $100,000. You can afford to live in ANY nice city around Weston and will be able to afford most upscale, gated neighborhoods.

The other problem with it (this is subjective) is all of the codes and deed restrictions that come with living in such an envrionment. This makes for a very good envrionment for a renter, but I'm not sure that I would buy here. I would probably look at non-HOA communities in Cooper City or if I had the cash, SW Ranches.

thanx for the info i think I would prefer to rent until I know the area better. Kind of afraid of the real estate market now anyway.
