I have never heard about kids from Western High committing any burglaries within the past few years. NOT that kind of school. If you want to go a few years back they used to have the "Davie Boys" gang there which still exists but not out there. However, it doesn't mean they won't soon a nab a burglar who attends the school.

Cooper City High on the other hand has had a history of burglary rings. I think actual professional burglars were targeting Oakhill anyhow.

Momma Bear, noticed this today...this would be in that Oakhill area, rather than Whispering Woods/Emerald Isles...it's nice and seems fairly priced

I bet it goes for around $550k now. With the stock market tanking, and inflation rising along with interest rates and incomes due to do the same, and people still needing a place to live, rental rates will go up, leaving housing still attractive if only for the tax deduction, but basically flat. I don't think the lower to mid-priced homes (below $750k) will fall much further after September, but I think million dollar homes (below say, $2.5mill) have a long way still to go.

Btw, the bank refused 5 offers on this short sale listed at $399K by the realtor, with 1 offer above $399k and is now looking for $460k, so the realtor has relisted it - I didn't get around to making my offer yet......so, here's a case where the price went up. Are we passed the bottom already? Here's a link:

The banks aren't acting rationally right now. They are refusing offers on short sales and then winding up foreclosing on homes and listing them for less than they would have received on the short sale. I wouldn't take this as proof that the market is picking up, although this irrational behavior usually indicates that a low is near.
