Does anyone have any thoughts on buying a townhome in Weston? We've been looking at single family homes for the last few months, but a townhome might be more realstic for us pricewise. Any comments on demographics (I don't mean ethnicity, but rather will my neighbors be loud, messy, family-oriented, etc.), maintenance fees, good versus bad locations, other pros and cons that come with buying a townhome, etc.?

Thanks!!!

Your neighbors will be young couples and younger families, except for at Coconuts where you might have a few college kids bundled in there. The demographic is a younger typical Weston.

I don't like Coconuts (shoddy construction, tiny) or San Messina (overpriced for what it is). Everything else should be fine location wise. Most of the other newer townhomes are built well for sound insulation, which is a big plus.

Dues will vary wildly by complex and amenities. The best thing to do is to check.

Also check out the 84 South area.

Also don't rule out patio homes which tend to be one level and larger than some of the townhomes we have here.

I would like to add something about townhomes in south Florida. They tend to be quite small as compared to what we had in Virginia and other states - few have a garage. The only other place where I found larger townhomes was in Celebration, FL (Orlando) which were lovely.
