I just moved here and unfortunately I'm thinking about moving back to where I came from because of the expenses of living in this city. It's really a shame because I love it down here, I really do. I think I was meant to live here for a lot of reasons, but...not if I can't afford to.

I left 4 months ago, and couldn't be happier to get out of the ARMPIT that is south Florida. I'm finally around people that speak English, don't keep roosters in their backyards as pets, and feel safe walking around at night. The only complaint I have is that I didn't do it two (or more) years earlier. I miss my friends, but that's it. I'll probably never even visit there again from what I read on this site, it's getting worse by the day.

Thanks for the update. Glad you are doing well up there. The Hispanics and other minorities you regularly cited in your posts - and I - miss you dearly.

I hear ya! Gotta love hearing the English language again! I cant go anywhere in Orlando anymore w/o hearing constant spanish.

Tn is nice, glad you are enjoying it. Just because places like TN exist, some folks try to deny it because there are places better than S FL when it comes to a quality of life.

Good for him, but he isn't safer. That's all I'm saying. Why would someone move to one of the few states that are more dangerous than Florida to "get away from the crime"?

Only due to Memphis. I dont know about ALL of TN, but eastern TN is just like western NC, very safe. Tons of Floridians, nice ppl, etc... No crime like S FL going on there. Nashville, that I know of, doesnt have crime like other big FL cities. Memphis and, as you pointed out, Chatanooga are higher than SOME FL cities, but you cant compare them as states. In no way does TN have the amount of cities with crime issues like FL does.
