Hi, my name is Nihal. I will be in Florida in October,2008 with my engaged to work in Ritz Carlton Palm Beach and Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne with H2B visas. We are looking for some useful advices before our moving. We plan to rent an apartment with one room between Palm Beach and Key Biscayne, so Fort Lauderdale looks like a good choise, doesn't it?
We're searchin for rental apartments via internet nowadays. The transportation from Fort Lauderdale to both Palm Beach and Key Biscayne is definitely important for us. Do you have any ideas?
Also i read other posts about rental furnitures in the website. Could you give us any more informations about it? Giving attention that we come abroad, please. Thanks in advance.

I-95 is the north/south route you will most likely be traveling. If it is important to you to be close to this major highway, then you will want to look for rental apartments that are nearby. If you want a more residential environment or you want to be closer to the beach, that is another story.

Start with: REALTOR.com: Home and Real Estate Search - Advanced Search
Furniture rental: Rent-A-Center: Home (http://www6.rentacenter.com/site/page/pg4285.html - broken link)

This is a start - hope it is helpful to you.

Thank you jhlcomp for the reply
As I wrote above we need your advices and good alternatives to make the best decision for as possible as a comfortable and cheap apartment. Imagine that we are the best friends of you and moving to Fort Lauderdale to live for a long while. One of us is working in Palm Beach and the other is in Key Biscayne. How could you help us while we are trying to decide about rent an apartment?

Extended stay hotels are all over Florida......the advantage to them is that you can stay there for a week/month/or longer...till you find a place that is more suitable to your needs......finding a place on line does not really give you the true picture of what the place is like and/or the surrounding areas...you might sign a one year lease over the internet only to find out that you rented in an area that you hate......instead...try an extended hotel...they come furnished with a small kitchen/etc...this way when you find what you like...you can just pack up and move...

You might also consider calling the Human Resourses Manager at either and/or both of the hotels that you will be working at...I am sure that they will be able to recommend areas and or put you in touch with some of your new fellow workers that will be able to help you out...good luck..
