Anyway, that's just my opinion, which doesn't really matter much...your best bet would be to check out one of the Broward adult centers (I believe the closest one to you would be in Hollywood), or Nova center in Davie, which offers all kinds of foreign language courses for a relatively small fee (if any, not sure) as well as courses to those who want to learn to speak English.
As usual a superb response from Compelled ....

As a Latin girl myself I can tell you this:

Best way to learn is a community college and then get a latin gf/bf
Listen to latin radio, watch TV programs in Spanish, check Spanish when it is an option for newsletters and correspondence, go to latin events,

Jobs that require Spanish typically need someone to be fluent because it is to cater to non-English Community of prospect and clients.
As an Spanish Speaker when I press 2 for Spanish I expect the person at the other side of the line to speak fluent Spanish and I expect a fluent English speaker when I press 1 for English. (which by the way sometimes I have trouble to understand the Customer Service person from India trying to speak English, so I hang up and try again) So fluency is important in any language for some jobs.

Now, some latins get offended when you Speak Spanish to them, when I see that myself they are latins who do not speak Spanish and get offended when it is my expectation that they do.

As per deaf people. I am learning ASL to help my son with Speech. And when I try it with a deaf person they get offended when they realize I am not deaf... So I avoid it now.

If you want to learn it, I think it is very nice to learn any other language, you wil be able to enjoy latin music better if you understand the lirics and you wont be in trouble if you get lost in the middle of Hialeah, lol!

Hope that helps

Default Learning Spanish in Broward

Yes- I think I really do need a Spanish boyfriend because I haven't been able to get good job here and almost all the good jobs require a Master's degree or have to be able to speak Spanish... since I don't have the money for education right now, Spanish is my second option.... I will keep this in mind when I start speed dating next month!
