Cypress Lake Estates is a nice, clean area. House prices are a bit more expensive than average - this keeps the area pretty clean.

If you have children, are you looking at any specific schools?

Take care!

Default Pompano Beach Schools

Thank you for your response. Yes I do have children. McNab would be the Elementary and I have a middle schooler which is the one I am concerned with. Is there any further information regarding schools you can provide me with.

Thanks again, this is very helpful.

What about the crime/theft level. It's confusing because I've read many negative things, but I have driven in the area and it seems peaceful.

Thank you.

Abra

Though I'm not a big fan of many parts of Pompano as my previous posts indicate, that's a nice area -- as are surrounding neighborhoods such as High Ridge (where my wife lived as a child), Garden Isles and Cypress Harbor. There's not a lot of difference between these areas and the Imperial Point section of Fort Lauderdale to the south, and I've generally found home prices in the Pompano neighborhoods to be a bit lower. Not sure what the current situation is, but property taxes have usually been a little less in Pompano, too.

I lived on SE 9 Ave for 12 years and it is a wonderful area. McNab Elementary is on 9 Ave. I'm sure you will be very happy living there it is a great family area where you know your neighbors and most people are into boating. I LOVE the location, as a matter of fact I like Cypress Lke Estates location much better than Lighthouse Point. You'll enjoy the new Publix on the corner of McNab. CONGRATS!!! You will love it there!
