Wouldn't you need a job that pays 3-4 times monthly rent to be able to make it? 350 a week is only 1400 a month. Nobody can live like that and enjoy it.

Well he would be able to pay the rent.

But not the electric, water, cable, or phone bills. Plus he would not be able to afford food or gas for the car, or car insurance. Also he would not be able to afford to go out anywhere and buy anything or save any money for the future.

Actually the leasing office usually wants to see that you make 3x the rent and that your credit is decent before they hand you keys.

Unless you have a roomate you will not be able to afford an apartment making $350 a week.

I must have read the subject line incorrectly. I thought you meant jobs that pay $350K/year. For a second there I got all excited.

You will not survive on $350/month anywhere in South Florida. You need to make at least twice that much, unless you want roomates, no car, rice and beans for dinner, etc., or unless you are living with your parents.

Civil service would be awesome government jobs are pretty recession proof.

My podiatrist today told me he had a job in the paper for four days for a clerk and got over 300 applications.

THEN I went to the new shopping center here that has a Marshalls and Homegoods that were the only stores open ...today grand opening.

The ENTIRE parking lot was full and you couldn't get a spot. I ran inside to look and the line was 57 people long. In addition to people with shopping carts there were groups of people just meandering around and husbands sitting on the furniture looking totally bored.

The bookstore and library lots were empty though, ha ha.

Go figure. Maybe pent up demand...

To be a mail carrier it takes years to get hired. You would have to pass the test first but you might not get called for many years. They pay $19 an hour and start you off 6 days a week but like I said it usually takes years for them to offer you something.

If you have a super clean background with no criminal record, no drug use or history of drug or alcohol use, no mental illness, stable work history, can pass a polygraph exam, have good credit, and have really good references that dont include your family to back all this up, and you can pass the CJBAT Test, and pass the physical endurance tests where they train you then you should apply to BSO. Broward Sherriffs Office for the Detention Deputy job (Jail Guard). Starting pay is like $3400 a month.

Education wise all you need is a high school diploma.
