Is it possible to still find a 3 bdrm 2 bthrm property for under $120 000 in a good area with low crime?
Is it possible to still find a 3 bdrm 2 bthrm property for under $120 000 in a good area with low crime? My bank will not finance short term rental.
They also do not finance in communities where the percentage of investment owners vs resident owners are too high.
If there are still deals like these out there,
A: please let me know and/or send me an email with links.
B: let me know what areas to look at.
I am not interested in short sales or pre foreclosures. I will have to obtain a mortgage either from my own bank or a lender who has a FN program.
Thanks for your help and assistance.

Are you a senior citizen ? If so yes. If no then no you wont be able to find something safe and nice in that price range. Not in this area anyway. Try Tallahassee or Pensacola. The panhandle area right below Alabama seems to be more affordable for what you want to spend. $120k here will get you in a repackaged ghetto condo.

You can get an 80s style but clean 2 bedroom for that price in Weston, not 55 plus. I wouldn't call Weston a slum.

Same general area, and I can tell you there will be way more where that came from. It's by and far the least upscale section of Weston but still very far from being slummy and unsafe, and there is nothing inherently undesirable about it. There are a lot of old people in that area but it's not acutally 55 plus.

Not to bad actually.
The first one is really nice on the inside but the outside kinda resembles a Hotel from 1988.
I would still take my $120k to a different part of Florida though. A condo is pretty much the same as an apartment except you own it. But you can still here your neighbors next to you or with heavy feet upstairs or dropping things, kids running around, doors slamming, smell food being cooked. Its like being a hamster in a big maze.

Oakland Park? They said a good area with low crime! Also a short sale, the OP said no short sales. You could probably find one of those condos I showed you in the 60-80k range if you are looking for short sales, about what they are really worth.
Those buildings, as ugly as they may be, sure beat living in an actual condo conversion!

Not in Broward County. Anything in that price range will be in a very difficult neighborhood.
