Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find out what to look forward to when I start applying for nursing employment in the ft. lauderdale area. Does anyone know which hospitals are good for employment, offer the best benefits, wages, etc. I'm graduating in 4 months and I have to relocate to this area in 5 months, so I would appreciate any information that I could get.

I am a "wanna be" nurse. lol. But a few of my friends are actual RN's. You will have the pick of the litter down here. One of my girlfriend's is a trauma nurse at Broward General. She makes close to $100K (if not more). What's your specialty? Have you also looked on allnurses.com? If not, they have a WEALTH of information regarding salaries, benefits, etc.

I wish you the best of luck! You will be living in paradise down here as a nurse.

Broward General, Holy Cross Hospital.........

As Heydade mentioned above ALL the Memorial Hospitals......

My Brother is an ER physician at Broward General and tells me that the nurses there are great and they love working there.

If you are a new RN. Just be mindful that there are lots of positions but it's hard to get in as a new RN. New RNs start around 50,000 a year or a little less. If you work days. Nights more.
