Default HELP!!! What are typical transaction broker rates?

I don't want to go into this clueless, can you help. I have a house I will be renting in south florida. Broker representative is a transaction broker which is fine with me however what are the typical rates that they should charge. The agreement drawn up specifies that her fee will be the equivalent of one months rent, is this fee fair? Let's say for example the rent on the unit will be $1200 well in this case, her fee will be $1200.

Thanks

Yes, that's standard if you are the homeowner. As a renter, there shouldn't be any broker fee.

What is your feeling on the potential of educating FSBO sellers. I am talking about showing FSBO sellers how to use all the same tools as real estate agents. Let's face it you know as well as I do that many agents in the industry have very little training. In fact many agents are able to become licensed in some states in as little as 6 weeks. There is no reason that a by owner seller is not able to educate themselves on selling a home.

I rented a home from an owner for $2200 and the agent's fee was $1000. This was in August of 2007.
