Is downtown Hollywood a desirable place to relocate?
Is downtown Hollywood and the area between downtown and the beach a desirable and affordable place to relocate for a young, progressive, active, educated couple? I actually went to high school at McArthur in west Hollywood near 441. My house was broken into so I would never consider living anywhere near 441 or south Pembroke road. That being said, I've visited downtown and Hollywood beach and I think both areas are charming. How is the crime in this area? I know that areas west of downtown (around I-95 and west to 441) are quite patchy. Are there lofts or older apartment buildings that are unique but not delapidated? What is average cost of housing in this area? All feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
