It depends on your situation. If you are married and have a family to raise, the western suburbs of Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, Weston, Davie, and Plantation are the best areas. If you are young and single, and you love the beach and nightlife, you are better off living east either in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, or the beach.

Hey do not forget Parkland ... it is a little father North and every bit as nice if not nicer than the mentioned areas . We have been here a few years and love it as do our kids . I would rate Weston second after Parkland .

Hollywood is its own seperate city, but most people consider it a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale is the principal city in Broward County. There are many other suburbs-cities in Broward County. I'll try to name them, but I might be forgetting some.

Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Dania Beach, Hallandale Beach, Pompano Beach, Wilton Manors, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Lauderdale By The Seas, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Coconut Creek, Parkland, Coral Springs, Tamarac, Margate, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Plantation, Davie, Weston, Cooper City, Southwest Ranches, Miramar, and Pembroke Pines. Now, somebody try to say that in 10 seconds.

Most of Las Vegas outside the strip and Henderson is a seedy dump and every bit as dangerous as anywhere in Broward County .
