Relocating back...need help with the job situation!
I so desperately want to relocate back to South Florida from boring NC. Does anyone have any leads on where to get a decent office/admin, HR Coordinator type job? Anyone know of any good headhunters? I don't mind doing temp to hire.
Thanks in advance!

If your work is steady/secure in NC I don't think it would be in your best interest to move back here.

My wife lost her job 2 months ago and is looking for the same type position here in South Florida and still nothing.... Many interviews with no takers.
If you can move back and be ok with no job for a couple months..... go for it

that is IF its only a couple months wait. Some people have been out of work for a year now. Things are tight.

The job market is very rough going here. My wife's been out of job for almost half a year and can't find nada. A few friends of hers also can't find work. Luckily I just found out that my job is 'somewhat' secure.
I too would rather live in SoFla than NC, but I'd recommend waiting a year until the job market picks up. Just my two cents...

I was recently contacted by 2 headhunters at Robert Half (Dade and Broward), months after having submitted my resume. They expect contract work to pick up dramatically in January due to an overabundance of layoffs in '08, and are getting their ducks in a row. You might float your resume at the agencies and see what kind of bites you get.

I think when companies cut permanent jobs, they still have a production level to meet. I think contract jobs will be out there because companies need to scale their workforce on demand and contract employees fit their needs. I'd definitely listen to fauve and send your resume out to see.
