Default Calling all Campers!

Hello Again! My family and I were big campers in Michigan. I am a little uncertain about camping in Florida but we miss it big time and want to start up again. I am looking for any info regarding camping in Florida. The best spots, worst spots, best times of the year and times to avoid camping. I just know Florida has different wildlife and such. So I would like to know what we are getting into if in fact we do start camping again, especially the must haves for our adventures. Thank you for all your help, I look forward to your info!

Hi there. We lived in Michigan for approx 1 1/2 year, for business. WAY TOO COLD!!
For Best Camping - Go to the Pan Handle, Emerald Coast and the Gulf coast!! TOPSAIL!!
How do you camp - RV, Camper or TENT? There are beautiful RV resorts, some are class A only and can be expensive.
What Ages?
If you have Children go to Disney and Camp in the Park.

Go While Gas is CHEAP!!

We are going to be tent campers once again. We had a pop up but sold it when we moved to Florida because we would not have a place to store it. We have a 2 year old and Disney is totally one place we want to camp! We also have our eyes on a couple KOA's on the west side as well as the keys. The biggest thing is I am just not familiar with all the wildlife and insects that may come into play while camping, especially in tent. And the two year old to boot, she is our main concern. The state parks seem a little more rustic, not that I mind rustic, but they seem really rustic. Also in Mich you could always have a fire at your site, down here that does not seem like an option. Some parks do seem to offer a group fire though.
