When was the last time you were here? I honestly do not remember South beach that way at all. I was just there in December - the water was beautiful and before that in May even more beautiful. The sea weed is annoying, but it is the beach, so I expect that. Myrtle is beautiful, I won't take that from you, but I just don't think you can compare SFL beach to Myrtle, just my opinion. - So you think that I can get a job over there paying what I make? That is really something for me to think about. I really liked Maryland when I lived there. Tell me how are the apartments outside of DC? Are they large? How are the schools - you live in both NY and DC how do they compare?

Hey Chelsa, I don't care if Myrtle Beach is superior or not to the beaches in South Florida. The Florida beaches suit me just fine...and I'll be meeting a lot of lovely ex-New Yorkers there too!

I'm not trying to defend S Florida, but did want to say that in 20 years of living here, I've only seen tar in the water once, and it was in Hollywood. Seaweed, a bit more frequently, but nothing that is always there - maybe 10% of the time.

If either were there on a regular basis, I personally wouldn't bother going. There are negative things about S Florida, but the beach isn't one of them.

lol..wit the tar situation - the week before I was there, there was a depression off shore that had brought alot of gunk inland. I don't think it happens often, but that one week it was really bad around Hillandale. And btw, I wasn't saying the beaches weren't nice - just that they're not as nice MB. However way nicer than the MD/DE beaches..

Plus we've got to talk about the Gold Standard, the IMF, fiscal and monetary policy, etc., over some beverages.

Thanks again forthe invitation to contact you!
