Does anyone know anything about these schools? I have found apartments in both these school zones. They are "a" rated and the parent comments are all positive. Just curious. Thanks!

Both are in nice areas and from what I know both are good schools. Both feed from mostly nice neighborhoods.

I would look at the middle and high schools that they feed into to make a decision. I think (you can check me on this) that Central Park feeds to Plantation Middle and Plantation High and that Fox Trails fees to Indian Ridge Middle and Western High. I would much prefer the Fox Trails feeders to the Central Park feeders. But please check me on the Central Park feeders. I am more certain about the Fox Trails feeders.

Thanks so much. We will only be in the area for 3 years, so as long as the school is good K-4 I will be ok. With all of the foreclosures, I am looking at renting in a complex instead of renting from an individual for more stability. I would hate to move twice in three years because someone wasn't paying their mortgage.

if you go to this website and punch in the address where you will live or are thinking of living it will tell you which school you will be zoned for. It is better to be safe than sorry, what if something happened (you love it or husbands contract is extended) and you ended up staying in SFL. You want to be in the right zone for Middle and High school. As I have said before, I have found through my research on Broward schools that, they tend to have really nice elementary schools, but then for what ever reason the Middle and High schools are shot to hell. That is the reason I was focusing primarily on CS and Parkland, but Weston, Davie, CC are all good too. They all have a long history of being good schools as well. I understand that a lot of people like parts of Plantation and Pembroke Pines, but my fear is that they borderline not so great places within their town, so it is a toss up on whether it will be better or worse by the time you child gets older.
