Default weston

Hello..

I am considering taking a job in Weston. I would be moving from NY to FL, if anyone is from this area I would love to hear what you have to say about the area. My main concern would be the area's high schools, as my son would be starting 11th grade when we move. Any thoughts?

Hi there - I live in Weston. Do you want your son to go to public or private school?

I have lived in this area for almost 20 years (hard to believe how time flies). Would you like to live in Weston? Or surrounding area?

Weston is a diverse community rather, city, with excellent education, abundance of homes, recreational areas, eateries, grocery shopping, and so forth. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks for responding.. I would like to live in Weston, or as close to it as possible. I was hoping to send my son to public school, as long as it is a good school. If not, I would consider private. I guess safety is my main concern, we are from a small town in NY where pretty much nothing happens. We are very much looking forward to a more active (and warm!) lifestyle. I was planning on renting in a complex for a year or two, so if you know of any rental complexes I would appreciate any advice!

I noted some of your posts and you were planning to move to NC and other areas - has that now changed??

Weston and surrounding area rentals http://www.move.com/searchresults.as...t=FL&styp=rent

The area is active. From our own personal experience, we have never had a problem with security - we do not live in a gated community.

I suggest you come down here for a visit. What I consider the "norm" may not be your idea of normal. There are a great many on this Florida thread that have very strong opinions of life and living in Florida - particularly south Florida. I do not share their opinions.

This is a multicultural society where Spanish is spoken and, in places, more than English. We have a great many ethnc restaurants. We have large populations of Chinese, Vietnamese, Indians, Pakistanis, Latins, Europeans - and the list goes own.

Please let me know if I can answer any of your other questions.

Yes you are correct - I considered Charlotte NC as well as FL. Where I move is actually dependent on where there are openings in my company. When one opens up down south I check into it. NC is nice, but I have relatives in Boca and friends in Orlando, which helps. I appreciate your input - I have read a lot of posts, some negative some positive, and it helps to read them all!
