Actually salary has nothing to do with it. Call BCBS and tell them that you're self employed and what the rate is. You be quite surprised..

You mean the moonbats vs the democrats!

and, just a hunch, but I'm guessing you don't actually live in south florida by that line I quoted...perhaps you want to be in the mexican, keys or bahamas forum? We're much more mojito territory.

lol....and I don't live in SFL, but have been coming there just about every summer since the 80's and even a few times as a kid in the seventies. So I've seen it changed from afar; I've a ton of family and friends living there and I talk to folks in the area at least 2 to 3 times EVERY day.

Well, next time you visit, order a mojito! Pina coladas are strictly for the tourists!

We live in the real world with ordinary humans.

I have high deductible, $10,000 a year, just medical no dental or vision, family coverage (3 people) pay $250 a month to BCBS in Palm Beach County, for some reason in Broward or Dade it would be double.

We use it as disaster insurance, otherwise we go abroad, pay on average 1/7 less for equal or better care, at least in human terms. Even had eye surgery abroad, did just fine.

Dunno. Now I'm having second thoughts on moving to Florida. First the health insurance rates as mentioned on this thread seem out of control. Now I hear that you don't get a pina colada but a mojito instead.

Next I'll learn that the gals wear those old fashioned swimsuits from the Roaring Twenties instead of the lovely bikinis I often envision.
