another question about Weston (Fort Lauderdale, Parkland: for sale, real estate, rent)

Hi guys,
Hoping you can assist...we are a family of 4, interested in Weston, My son will be entering HS in the fall, and my dd will be in 4th grade , I have been doing homework on it for years, however wound up in charlotte, anyhow does anyone have any real estate links with sub-divisions??

I am using realtor.com and Craigs list but are there any others in the Ft Lauderdale area that I can check out???

Google Weston real estate and several different real estate companies will come up. A big one here in Weston is Caldwell Banker. Several brokers from that office focus on Weston. Another one that I used Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Company, Homes for Sale in Ft Lauderdale Florida breaks down the real estate by different sub divisions. I like that site. I must have found it in one of my searches.
Will your oldest be going to public school? The school system was a little crazy this year. Because we are new my son is going to Western High (which he loves) due to over crowding at Cypress Bay High. I have been talking with a neighbor who is a teacher at Cypress Bay and he says that next year all Weston kids will go to Cypress Bay. All elementary schools seem to be good. There are tons of posts on here about Weston. Make sure you look through them. You will see good and bad. We moved here in August and are really enjoying it. Good luck.

We lived in Weston for nearly six years and loved it ... schools were excellent ( Fla standards anyhow !! ) the place is green , clean and safe .. very upscale for the most part and tons of activities for the kids .. I would have to say our time there was a positive .

As a long time resident, it is family oriented with lots of activities for kids. It is safe and clean.

I agree we used to really enjoy the Regional Park , Country Isles Park and Town Center as well . As much as we like Parkland we do miss quite a lot about Weston

We have been here for 8 years. We like it here. We were not pleased with the public schools but other than that we really like living here.

It is clean, modern and pleasant. There are stores nearby for your everyday type shopping. More extensive shopping is no more than a 10 minute drive outside the city (Sawgrass Mills). There are tons of activities for the kids.

ty Tan, I appriciate everyone's feedback...I guess the HS situation and the cost of living concerns us a little, but again it all works out...we will rent for 6 months-1 year since we dont know the area...

Rock let me ask you what are the differences between Weston and Parkland? as we are looking in Both..
