Lester's Diner is excellent as well, altho just outside of Weston (north of 595 on 136th ave). the Weston Diner to me is like an old-fashioned coffee shop, and I agree, great place for breakfast, but Lester's is classic diner, and is open 24 hours.

I don't know about Weston in particular. Everyone drives around Broward. We love:
Sushi Blues on the Young Circle in Hollywood
The Rustic Crab House in Dania
Casa d'Angelo (almost true Italian) in Fort Lauderdale
Paquito (Mexican) in North Miami
Piola (100% Italian pizza) in Hallandale
15th street Fisheries (seafood) in Fort Lauderdale
Sublime (vegetarian) in Fort lauderdale
California Pizza Kitchen (chain, Southwestern, family) in Fort Lauderdale
Cafe Seville (Spanish) in Fort Lauderdale
Aruba Beach Cafe (nice location on the beach) in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
Benihana (chain, Japanese) in Lauderdale-by-the-sea
Creolina (creole) in Fort lauderdale
but there is a lot more, both more upscale and cheaper dining, for family and for romance.

I think that it's way overpriced for what it is (especially the breakfast), and I find you get more of the "authentic" Northeast diner feel at Lester's. You can even get a gyro sandwich and greek food there! Weston Diner feels more like a regular family restaurant, but for the price you could go to First Watch in Sunrise, which has a slightly more upscale approach to breakfast.
