Hey Momma - haven't spoken to you in a while - hope all is well! I'm not familiar with Smith Point. Either way none of the beaches can compare to those in Florida, not even South Carolina. I hated walking 6 miles to get to water that was too cold to get in and you couldn't see your feet once the water got to your knees. Yuck, no really fond memories of the beaches here.

One could never compare Robert to any beach in Florida let alone South Florida.
I used to start swimming on Robert Moses in May. I couldn't stop shivering though, once out of the water. But in July/August, water was quite warm.

I have been both to Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood beaches. Fort Lauderdale Beach is sometimes too much of a tourist trap....so always over populated. Hollywood is the way to go...or Miami if your in the mood for a longer drive.
