Delray is really old in terms of population. The areas close to the beach may have some younger folks but once you head west of downtown every one is old.

Yes! Definitely a HUGE difference in demographics from the downtown area and west Delray. The downtown area is defintely the area with the "town" feeling too. West Delray is basically suburban sprawl populated by retirees.

Well, now my 18 yr old son drives himself around for his activities (yay!), but not so much this weekend because he is getting over the flu. This morning, my 16 yr old daughter was offered an internship for this summer at Weston Photography - yippee! She's also planning on taking a dual enrollment summer class at the local community college in biology; she's hoping to go to RIT and study biomedical photography. Hopefully, she'll be driving by this summer! Right now she's next to me working on School Yearbook (she's photo editor, of course). Hubby had the flu all week, and I have had a temp the past 2 days The weather is great though

Yeah I was gonna say about Delray. Aside from downtown, everyone there is old, lol. Delray is very laid back; its not that exciting of a place.

Downtown Hollywood, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Midtown Miami, etc. I'd look into Miami itself, since there are more vibrant areas with lots of people and things to do.
