Depends; Low Middle Class, High Middle Class? This could be the difference between Oakland Park and Weston

Down here, "middle class" is in the eye of the beholder. But all of the above suggestions are very good.

Many people discount Weston because it has a reputation for being somewhat affluent. However, Weston has a very diverse housing stock. There are 1BR apartments and huge mansions and everything in between.
Other nice cities are Plantation, Davie, Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Miramar (west), Coral Springs, Coconut Creek. Some of these cities have some sketchy areas, but also have some nice areas.

I have heard that Oakland Park is not a good area at all - is this false. The schools are not good and that is mainly what I am basing an area on. Is this incorrect?

got you love - okay, because, I didn't think that you really could compare Weston to Oakland Park.

well remember Flatbush is varied right? Not all of it is bad or sketchy. Same way with Oakland Park, believe it or not that area is dumb big. It stretches to the middle of broward and almost runs down to Fort Lauderdale beach, its really big area. Not all of it is the same. With that said, I have no desire to live there.
