I can not speak for Century Village in Pembroke Pines, I liked next to Century Village in Deerfield Beach and it seems to be a really nice place. The Deerfield one is really big, so they have a lot of events and activities, and they even have a trolley system that takes Century Village residents to nearby shopping plazas, to the beach and stuff. Hope that helps and welcome to Miami!

I know a number of people who moved to the Century Village in Pembroke Pines and really enjoy it. I remember when CV was all alone way out west -- well times have changed. It is now surrounded by some wonderful shopping areas and a brand new outdoor mall near I-75 (name escapes me right now) with restaurants, shops, etc.

I can not imagine that you will be bored for a moment not to mention all the activities at CV. Enjoy your new life here.

The outdoor mall is on I-75 and Pines is called Shops at Pembroke Gardens. It has about 5-7 good restaurants (chains like Ra Sushi, the Pub, Fuddruckers), and other shops like Barnes and Noble, Banana Republic, etc.

It's newer and very well kept. I live around the corner from CV and there is alot of shopping and dining in the area.
