Default Coral Springs Country Club area? Other older areas in nice neighborhoods?

Hi -

Looking into this area of Broward and want a neighborhood with good public schools and larger lot homes. The older neighborhoods are appealing with their large yards and more privacy than the newer neighborhoods with their minimal setbacks and zero lot lines.

I have come across some homes in the Coral Springs Country Club area - is this still considered a nice area? How are people keeping up their property? Any other ideas for similar areas with good schools?

You might also want to look at Woodmont CC a few miles south in Tamarac. My grandfather lived there until he passed away a few years ago. Most of the homes were built in the 1980s and are well kept. I wouldn't call the lots "large" by any means, but there are mature vegetation buffers between them, and you can get homes backing up to the golf course, water, etc. It's mostly retired jewish folks but slowly becoming more diverse. I can't speak for the quality of the schools, but it is very close to Taravella HS.
