Search threads for these areas as there have been several postings in the past.I just moved from Coconut Creek.I loved it there.Several nice apt. complexes.Elem. schools there are Coconut Creek Elem. and Tradewinds(there may be others but I'm only familiar with these).Deerfield is nice as well.Again, plenty of apt. complexes. Not too sure about the schools.Pompano has good and bad areas.Do your research.Coral Springs might be of interest to you as well.Good luck!

Pompano is pretty run down, I'll consider Coral Springs if I were you, it's alot nicer area.

Check out apartments.com and sun-sentinel.com.

in a condo, on the beach, Pompano is one of the ugliest cities. deerfield is not much better, it is over-populated and dirty.

Coconut Creek is hands down the best city to live in out of the ones you listed. The apartment price will be about $900-$1000 (or more) for a 1/1 in a nice gated community. There are plenty of elementary schools within a 5-25 minute drive of the city.

If you are looking for good schools and want to stay in the northern end of broward I would go to Coral Springs or Coconut Creek. Pompano and deerfield are awful

oh please, pompano is HUGE and has some really nice areas as some really dumpy ones.... clears throat* just like Coral Springs...... Coral Springs along Sample west of rock island is a DUMP. Not to mention utterly boring. At least in Deerfield and Pompano one can get to the beach, not the case in Coral Springs.

Deerfield is nice as well, but it depends WHERE in deerfield u are.

I lived in Coconut Creek for a year and enjoyed it.
It's clean, nice, newer and fresher.

I would get the job first and then choose where to live. You might rent an apartment in Deerfield and end up working in Miami. That would not be fun.

nevermind. old thread.

Coconut Creek is very nice. I would also not eliminate Deerfield Beach or Pompano Beach. There are still some nice areas there but you have to look around.
