I will be down in fort lauderdale for vacation next week, and I can't remember for the life of me what the name of this particular place is. I was there a few years ago (drank too much i guess otherwise i would remember). I remember driving all the way down las olas blvd (away from the beach). eventually came to this area of stores and restaurants.... lots of vendors, there were 2 levels i think...i think it was called RIVERWALK.....ive been trying to look it up online, and I'm seeing write ups about a riverwalk, and a las olas riverfront....confusing. can anyone help out a yank from the dirty north?

Its called Riverfront at Las Olas. There are a bunch of bars and clubs there and it gets crazy with young people ages 21-30 or so every Friday and Saturday night. Some weeknights can be good, but its like spring break every fri and sat. Its located in downtown Fort Lauderdale which is about 2-3 miles west of the beach down Las Olas Blvd.

Riverfront, which is on part of the Riverwalk doesnt have stores anymore. But there are lots of little shops on Las Olas just East of there. Riverfront doesnt get going till 10pm and then the bars are packed. 2nd street which is a block away has the better places to eat and more bars. Las Olas Riverfront - The Place To Be Lots of younger people head to HardRock instead of the Riverwalk area.
Yes, Dan Marinos used to be there on the 2nd floor. Gone now.
