3- Why do you Reps blame every hardship people have on them being a lazy bum? Do you ever blame the government?
4- The I.T industry is almost dead in this country, Indians have taken over and work at a 20% of the cost that Americans would work for.
5- Do you think area 5 star hotel would have a couple blacks at the counter greeting customers
6- Rep or Dem... both are the same thing for the most part,

1- Yes, they should.
2- Yes - they should. I blame the government but not because they don't have enough "handouts".
Because government (especially Dems) LOVE BIG GOVERNMENT and social engineering, and interfere with business and trade EXCEPT when they SHOULD, in the case of ENFORCEMENT of LAWS already in effect. The banking and housing crisis could have been prevented IF GOVERNMENT WAS DOING IT'S JOB. Unfortunately government NEVER runs anything correctly and this is the dichotomy.
Community Reinvestment loans were meant to stop REDLINE-ing not to give money to every human who had warm breath.
What about the mortgage broker felons in FL? Where was the OVERSIGHT making sure felons did not get certified as brokers? There WAS A LAW against that already. But the greedy politicians shut their eyes. ALL OF THEM. And those like Barney Frank took advantage of the greed to advance his social engineering agenda that home ownership equals prosperity. Problem - they didn't OWN a thing. All they OWNED was a loan.
4- Well, the H1B visas are alive and well even in the "STIMULUS" package. wtf.
I worked for Verizon and we could not get the higher paying "Fiber" jobs in the stupid call center but the calls were outsourced. There was nothing "tricky" about those calls. Meanwhile, our trainers are flying back and forth to India. Even flying HOME FOR THANKSGIVING and returning. Talk about a waste of money.
What a mess. When was the last time a high profile pol actually made a commitment to the border situation? Uh, like never ha ha.
5- Actually even in FLL there are several "minority owned and run" franchises such as Marriott. I stayed in on on Coconut Creek and the property group is Haitian. What makes a property 5 star is service. The service at that particular one was horrendous with jackhammers going on at 7 am above my room and they PIPE ROSE SCENTED FRAGRENCE throughout the AC SYSTEM!!!!
Marriott has MANY MANY African Americans in front desk jobs, in fact more often than not. It's been that way for years. I know about Marriott because I stayed there on a corporate program for years. Marriott is considered a very good company to work for especially as entry level. My kid's gf worked her way up from part time in college to assistant property director in a couple short years.
Regardless of race, a hotel can work it's way to 5 stars if they deliver. The Coconut Creek one is doomed because they are obviously out of it. The same thing is going on at some Radisons though with the stupid fragrence issue.
I also stayed in two places in Jax with African Americans in front in concierge roles. I live at The Strand and our entire concierge staff is AA.
I think you're not in the loop with this one, no offense. My hometown is minority majority (philly) and we don't think twice about AA versus Caucasian...it is simply NOT an issue overall. I'm not saying there's a simple answer but just disagreeing with your example.
6- This is totally true. Dems are out of control now like nothing ever seen ....without a doubt but Bush was too but in no way like today though. My theory is Bush gave into big spending to ensure his foreign policy would go untouched. Like a trade off.
Regardless, no good can come from big government. They screw up EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH. Even when they have LAWS meant to PREVENT problems they don't enforce them. Why? Obviously to ensure they retain the lobbyists and get re-elected.
Corruption pure and simple. The human condition. Not just here but everywhere. btw about the other day when the Washington Post was going to hold a private 25,000 per person suaree (sp) to facilitate access to White House staffers for lobbyists? It's really BAD when you don't even have an objective media anymore and one who provides INFOMERCIALS for the government.
(sorry, WS...I'm a simple person, a Florida Populist..power to the people not politicians
