Discovery One Day Cruise
Has anybody done the one day Bahamas cruise offered by Discovery?
Was it worth the price? Thoughts...

Never been, but I thought it looked like a party boat in the TV commercias.

We didn't care for it. The ship was not well maintained and it was pretty expensive.

I recieved a quote and it was $187 for two people... so you think it's not worth it?
Can you elaborate further on the ship and your experience?

My son was invited to a bar mitzvah that consisted of a one day cruise to the Bahamas and a day of fun in the Bahamas. My husband and I were not thrilled with him leaving the country without us so we paid for our own tickets and decided to spend the day in the Bahamas.
We have been on many cruises and the ship was not well maintained. It was not dirty but it was very run down. The entertainment was low grade and the food was not that great. If I wanted to go to the Bahamas for a day I would just fly there.

Too bad the high-speed catamaran to Bahamas company went out of business. It looked like fun - 2 hours and you are in Freeport. Although I always wished they had sailed to Nassau.
