I have French friends coming for a visit to South Florida in a few days. They will be here for two full weeks staying in Hollywood (The Ramada on the beach), The Key's and my home for 5 days. Since I am new to the area, I am not sure where to take them for South Florida fun. Can you give me some suggestions for outings, restaurants and anything else that might be good for a French family? They have 3 boys ages 8-14. We can travel anywhere in South Florida and farther. Also any info on the hotel would be appreciated

Thanks for your help.

Definitely check out this thread:

First Time Visitor: Off-the-beat'n track. Fort Lauderdal, Miami, Key West

Re the hotel - is it the Ramada on Hollywood Blvd?

Thanks Fauve for reminding me of that great post and the Sticky. Of course when I need the info, I forget that it was already there. Too much on my mind. Thanks for pointing it out again. The hotel is on the boardwalk. I have never been down there so I don't know anything about the area. I really need to get out and explore more!
Off topic, I am the one that spoke with you about boat storage. We did get a boat but it has no trailer. We are keeping it at a marina. Thanks for the offer though.

I would recommend taking them to South Beach and walking around. Also, take them to Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale.

Has anyone been to the Metro Zoo, Jungle Island, Seaquarium or any other attractions?
What are your thoughts on these places and any other attractions along these lines.
Thanks

Yes - thanks! We found a foreclosure in jacaranda country club - off nob hill. So, we'll be close to school and the kids will be close to their friends
