any thrift stores/consignment/inexpensive clothes there
Because of my budget and constantly changing weight due to disease, i shop mostly in thrift stores and consignment or in the clearance sections of ross, tj max, marshalls, etc
they are abundant here..i was wondering if you have thrift stores close to sunrise/ft lauderdale and if they are any good. I have to clarify when I say I shop inexpensive because alot of people have difference of opinion on what is inexpensive...
I do not spend more than $10 for a shirt and $15 for pants/shorts and even that is cutting it....i usually wait for dollar day at the thrift stores or the items that are less expensive
I know i sound pathetic but all of my money goes to my healthcare and what I need for treatment so i have to skimp on other areas...one of them being clothes and of course the other being entertainment (hence doing free stuff)
Thanks for any recommendations on some good thrift or consignment stores..even though i prefer consignment...i tend to stick with thrift because alot of the consignment stores i find they just have less expensive clothes for brands you would pay hundreds for...i am not into name brands and cannot afford $25 for a name brand shirt I would have paid $100 for normally.

We have great consignment stores, and you have to sort of get to tknow them and you can get deals.
Also a ton a great thrift stores.
Avoid all that cheap treated fabric at the discount stores if you are sick, is healthier to have used clothes and wash them in a simple soap or detergent.
THs is a great area for used stuff.

Someone that I used to work with proudly told me that she picked up a lot of her work clothes from the Goodwill in East Boca. That's where you can find lots of good stuff for cheap. If I were to go anywhere, I'd also try Faith Farm (locations in Boynton Beach and Ft. Lauderdale). I generally don't have the patience to go through stuff at a thrift or consignment store; usually I'll also have my daughter with me and she's even less patient than I am. I'm only considering it for something right now--a cheap vest that I can use for the Girl Scouts patches that I've collected since being a troop leader.

Try Plato's closet. They have hip clothes for teenagers and 20 year olds. It is reasonably priced too. The clothes are gently worn too. I sell most of my clothes there so it is a great place to get quick cash to pay a light bill if you need to. Good luck!

Where are they located? I have a few things NWT in my closet that I'd like to get rid of. Heck, the money may have to go for the light bill!

How about a Salvation Army? My brothers ex used to only shop there and she was the best dressed amongst us.
Anyway, there is one right here in Tamarac (next to Sunrise).
7707 W. Commercial Blvd.
Tamarac, FL 33351
As far as Ross, there is one right behind the Salvation Army in the shopping center. TJ Max and I think Marshalls can be found in Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise. Happy shopping.
