Default concerned about the live music scene near sunrise./ft laudersale

husband and i LiVE for music in all forms...karaoke, live music,k bands, etc etc..and my sister said we may be very dissappointed ne3ar where she live3s in sunrise and and says most of the towns are low key and most of the younge5r people hang out at starbucks for coffee on the weekend eves and she is not too fqamiliar with much live music, karaoke, etc

i find this hard to believe being close to frt lauderdale but i am getting concerned...i know entertainment won't be 10 minutes away but to say t5hat there isn't much live music in broward in general is really concerning me being that is OUR stress relief and we don't have kids so having coffee at starbucks on a sat nitght and being home by 10 is not our idea of a regular fun time...

PLEASE ASSURE ME THERE IS A LIVE MUSIC SCENE WITHIN 30MIN OF SUNRISE. As this might wsound crazy to others, this could be a deal breaker for us moving to sunrise. We love "beachy" things to do. i.e. starbucks on the beach, etc but really looking to do those during the day and not at night. We love all types of music...rock. pop, indie, blues, etc...all except rap, heavy metal and country.

I thought i saw a music meetup and karaoke meetup so unless i am wrong,...i think there is a music scene here. i dmit..here we do have music and bars within 15 mins with music even on the weeknights...but we knew this wasn't goin to be the case but to say broward county music scene is almost non existent isw really concerning me as i can't get out much during the day and i live for the evenings and weekends for live music.

thx for any insight.

Do you want to stay in Sunrise only? The only reason Ft. Lauderdale is a long drive for us is because we take a main rd. with lots of lights.

These bars have live music but are on the beach:
ElboRoom - Webcam of Fort Lauderdale beach to watch the bands with live music or people on Fort Lauderdale beach having fun.
Exit 66 - Ft. Lauderdale - Nightclub*|*Archive*|*Live Music

Club that sometimes have live music:

Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood is very popular:
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino: Entertainment

Once you get here and meet people here you can ask around. Restaurants within city limits probably have live music on weekends. I think you have to come and discover.
