It certainly doesn't rain in Tamarac. It always rains south (Plantation) or north (Coral Springs).
What would you like to know?

I am buying in Tamarac....We will be renovating a beautiful property there. Over $600K. I just think it's a beautiful place...none of the homes in some of the communities look alike like they do back in the west part of Broward (cookie cutter like) and they many don't have that Mediterranean look which I cannot stand.
I find the people friendly there too so if you find a nice place ...go for it. All the naysayers from the West will talk about high crime but I experienced my fair share and I lived in a gated community out West!

I live in Tamarac and I really like it here. Like every city it has the good and the bad. I'm west of University. I guess it depends where you are, but some areas east of University do have high crime issues. All I know for sure is avoid close neighboring with North Lauderdale and certain parts of Lauderhill. It also depends if you have school age children. The schools in Tamarac area vary a lot; some schools are much worse then others, so look out for that too.

I wasn't trying to be smart about the rain comment. Really, I am disappointed with the lack of rainfall in this town. I loved the afternoon thunderstorms in Plantation. Who would've thought moving a couple miles north would make a big difference.
I live west of University and my street has crime but WAY at the other end. Try to stay along Southgate west of University. This would include the Woodlands.
If you have kids, be prepared to drive to another city for decent parks. Another thing, many of the neighborhoods do not have sidewalks.
