I have looked in the woodlands myself. I find at this time ,there are alot of homes on the market and alot of them are over priced for the developement. I do like the area but I find I can get much more for my money else where without having to do so many upgrading.

On Trulia.com which is a real estate site, they have wonderful graphs and charts on crime statistics for neighborhoods. I can say for the age of these homes, the design, architecture etc. this is not a transitional neighborhood for many young families who can for the same money purchase in Coral Springs, Weston or Parkland. A remodeled home with 70-80s architecture at the end of the day is still going to feel like an old home. As an update Club Link which purchased Heron Bay, Palm Aire and the Woodlands CC has put a lot of money in these courses and they are playing great right now. FYI, in 2007 I tried to sell a home in Woodmont Greens which was built in the mid-90s and it was very difficult. Young families just don't have Tamarac at the top of their list for places to buy and as far as retirees now Boynton Beach has become the most populated 55+ area in south Florida.

Been a while since someone posted in this thread. What's today's outlook for Woodlands and Woodmont?
