Default In Weston, which neighborhoods allow personal (non-commercial) pick-up trucks?

We are currently look for a home, and Weston is one of the areas we are considering. We have a personal use pick-up truck with a professional cover on the back. We have heard that some Weston communities allow the trucks, if they are personal use trucks. We have heard others don't allow the trucks at all.

Do any of you know the rules for Savanna, North Lakes, and others? We will also be calling their managment companies to check as well.

Thanks in advance for any help!

As long as it stays in the garage and out of sight, you should be able to keep the HOA at bay.

I live in Savanna and I think they changed the rule here. As far as I know you can park a pick up truck in the driveway as long as it has no commercial advertising on it. My neighbor has a shiny red Dodge Ram Pick Up Truck on his driveway.

Thank you MommaBear and MikeZ! I have tried calling the managment company for North Lakes and I have not heard back from them yet. Does anyone know anything about North Lakes? I know we can keep our truck in the garage, like you had mentioned, but obviously we would love to use that space for other things.

I think they just haven't been enforcing the rule, in Savanna. Most people I see with trucks in the driveway back them in. This way one can't see the back ot the truck and it kind of looks like an SUV. Officially you are supposed to put it into the garage. Some people are lazy and don't do that. Some other people's trucks are so big, they don't fit in the garage.

I remember getting a mailing specifying that there was a rule change. I do not remember all the details of the mailing but I am pretty sure that you can park personal, non commercial pickups in the driveway. I don't have a pickup truck so it didn't really affect me (I don't understand all the fuss over this issue).

Try some of the Bonaventure area communities with no HOA.

Is not a matter of the HOA, it is a city ordinance, so pretty much applies to the whole city but Bovanenture side of town.

For Coral Gables it's commercial trucks....not personal trucks. I think the same would apply to Weston. After all, Weston is merely a Coral Gables wanna-be and not even close to the prestige of the Gables.

True, it's an enforcement issue. I haven't seen anyone get bothered around here and I actually live in a condo complex.
