With the weighting, it's not that hard. A B in an Honors class weights as a 4.0. What is probably harder is getting the high SAT score in the 8th grade if your kid's not a test taker. My son was (one of the top 5 scorers in Florida of kids who took their SAT in 7th grade), and my daughter was not, and would never have gotten an academic scholarship. She had no problem with the 4.0 gpa though and it wasn't a do or die kind of thing. I think she has a 4.4 now and she's really an art student - not academic at all. Plus she's super ADD. It's doable. Plus, it looks great to colleges.

Thanks - my boys are very athletic - perhaps that will help too - so I'll be all moved in on or about the 10th - wanna do lunch?

Okay...I just made an executive decision - how bout Cheesecake Factory @ Sawgrass? The discussion in the fish taco thread is making giving me a craving for theirs!
