Would your recommend Aventura or Hallandale Beach or any parts of Hollywood as well?

Just thinking ahead here .

I've been around this town driving a lot. Not so much on foot. To me, a bad neighborhood is graffiti on the houses, boarded up windows, thugs on the street..... Perhaps I haven't gone out far enough west to see that but I haven't found that here. Like most people say, try to stay east of 95. There's more of everything east, and the more west you go the more sparse houses are and you get into more of the dirt road kind of neighborhoods.

If you want to live between the two cities..Hollywood is really it. Hallandale is tiny, and not so nice. Businesses boarded up and really no downtown or shopping area. Aventura is ok, too. Although thats more of a miami feel with a little more rough spots than further north. Hollywood near the beach can get really expensive. But try down Hollywood Blvd. ... out maybe 3 miles west and you're again in a really nice area of Hollywood. Its called Hollywood hills. Sounds expensive, but its affordable.

And absolutely invest in a GPS if you don't already have one. The canals will have you going into dead end streets=)
