Default Jobs in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area

Hi,

I've been on the forum for a little while but never really posted. As I mentioned before I currently reside in the Caribbean but will be relocating to Fort Lauderdale, FL with my hubby and kids in a few months - July. We will reside in the Coral Springs area - I've found an apartment that I'm praying will have availability.

I've been in the hospitality field for oh boy about 12 years and intend to branch out in a new career - HR. I know I'll have to start at the bottom, but I'm ok with that. Do any of you know of any companies that is worthwhile applying to once I move that offers descent pay and excellent benefits?

I've just been researching jobs and would like to keep a list of companies that I should apply to once we make the move. This forum has been a wealth of information and has been so helpful. Any comments or suggestions is certainly welcomed. I look forward to your reply.

Tx

The only way to get into HR is to start as a recruiter, study for the PHR certification exam, or take classes in it.

Many companies won't hire you because there are so many experienced people willing to take the same $$$.

You do realize one mistake in HR opens the companies to massive lawsuits.. Study for the PHR and u would have a much better shot.\

Every organization of every size requires HR. Get involved in SHRM and you may make some contacts. I agree that some sort of certification would be a great start.
