ok, born in florida, parents divorced, up to mass, have family down in florida still and tired of winters and in a position to try a move a 35....

(wanted to go to Vegas but doesn't make sense since all my family is east coast).

Looking Pompano Beach or possible Ft Lauderdale if it's near the beach/a1a/las olas.

Ok, advice time... what's it like, will I eventually find work?

Big issues I seem to have so far...

1) I want to rent at first and I have a 60lb chocolate lab
2) I used to own a restaurant and love to cook and have been told almost no one has natural gas and if they do it's very expensive... cooking on electric? ugh... might kill me...

Sounds like it will be tough to find a place that will both have gas and take the large dog. Work is still difficult to find. What do you do? What's your budget like? I would only move down here if I had a great deal of savings, friends I could stay with in a bind or a guarantee of a job.

If you have to cook on a flame you could always become the grill master! FL has plenty of days that are good for grilling!
