Default Nicest Grocery Stores

I woud like to title this Nicest Publix's because I really shop at these the most but I don't want advertise just them.

I'm talking about clean and friendly stores. I went to one the other day on Nova Drive and Davie Road near the University and it was fantastic...everyone said HI to me and it was clean and beautiful. I had never stopped in that one before. This was in Davie.

I also went to one recently in Pompano Beach near Atlantic and Commercial that was fantastic, clean with nice, nice staff and eager baggers. I loved that one too.

I really need to try out that new Publix in Plantation....they took over from an Albertsons. I wonder if it's nice too.

LOL I HATE the one just south of 595 east of University. I feel its dirty, their carts are smaller, and it has no pharmacy in it. They have a lower stock of just about everything and the isles are small. The publix that used to be Albertsons is the one I go to. Its clean and friendly, and nostalgic to me. Reminds me of a Publix 10 years ago, i really like it. There is one on stirling west of 441 east of Davie rd ext, and that one is nice too but VERY busy. I used to go there but the one of Griffin that used to be albertsons is much less crowded, imho.

I used to shop at Publix for years and then went into Winn Dixie one day and realized how much I was being ripped off in Publix. Yes....Publix stores have better customer service I think and they almost always have baggers bagging your groceries. Winn Dixie only has a few baggers.....most of the time I have to bag everything myself. BUT...my grocery bill is waaay cheaper. I am not talking about a few dollars...I am talking 10-15 dollars off a 100 dollar tab. They always have buy one get one free specials on meats and pork and tilapia.........great stuff ! Yes, winn dixie has suffered in the past with the reputation as being a dirty store, but they have made a good come back. I also like the variety at winn dixie...much more than at Publix.

:X @ Winn-Dixie meats. I would buy the generic stuff like kaft mac n cheese, spaghetti sauce, canned goods from there, but you couldnt pay me to get meat or produce from winn-dixie. If you held up a package of ground beef from both stores, I'm pretty sure you'd agree.

On the contrary ! Many people prefer winn dixie for their meats compared to publix. I did a little research here on city-data and there are many old threads about this debate and many people who prefer the meats AND produce at winn-dixie over Publix. No joke. Publix is a rip-off and people fall for it. I am the one laughing to the bank. I have enjoyed excellent cuts of beef from Winn-dixie at 10-20% less than what publix offers. The produce section at my winn dixie in Davie beats down publix any day of the week. Again, just my opinion. My wife shares the same opinion with me. We are thrilled we walked into Winn dixie that one day a couple of months ago and can't believe we wasted so much money at Publix over the past 20 years. Thank God for winn dixie

Ever since they tried selling spoiled food after a hurricane I haven't stepped food in a Winn Dixie.

Never ever ever Winn Dixie. They need to clean their stores, train their staff, add more lighting and ensure that they have the best in food and produce- including those that arent spoiled.
Publix.
