I have been to SWFL/Naples several times and love it. FGCU is a top school choice for me. My one concern is that Naples and the rest of the area seems to shut down at 10 PM. I know all about 5th Ave. South, Gulf Coast Town Center, DT Fort Myers, etc. Beyond that, what else is there to do in the area after 10?? Restaurants, Coffee Shops, ANYTHING? I'm DEFINITELY a night owl by sleep schedule and that will never change so having stuff to do at night (not only bars/clubs) is important to me. Anyone have districts or individual places open late, are changing demographics bringing new late-night options? Thanks people.

One thing that surprised me about Cape Coral was how many 24 hour super markets and drug stores there are; more than there were on Long Island.

Gangbanger clubs in downtown Fort Myers? I'm sorry, but I am literally laughing out loud. There are some FANTASTIC bars and clubs in downtown FM. I have spent many late nights in downtown FM and would never worry about that area at all. City Tavern, Cigar Bar, H2, etc. Even Neo Lounge - despite being predominantly black - was friendly and welcoming to my circle of friends.

Yeah I'm from Tampa and Ybor has always been one of my favorite hangouts, so I'm not scared of nonwhites like SOME people apparently are; I rather like them in fact. Like I said I already like SWFL from experience but would like some assurance I won't be bored at nighttime.
