We suddenly have thousands of little gnats or no seeums in our pool despite the cage. Coincidentally, my husband noticed this after he mowed the lawn this afternoon. When I came home afterwards, I noticed a ton of little things flying around as I pulled onto the driveway. Do you think they were nesting in the lawn?

What are these? How do I get rid of them? It's hot out and I want to use my pool.

Thanks everyone.

yes they nest in the lawn... kill them with bug spray in the pool cage.. then use "bug free backyard" all over your yard, buy 2... they sell them in the garden center at walmarx, you hook it to your hose and go
