Crispers (on Daniels @ trail) has a help wanted message on their sales slips

Also, saw an "employment available" sign outside the Salvation Army last week...maybe it was on McGregor.

Yep that is it, as small as possible and cash only, no mortgage.
Of course when the economy recovers then they will have a excuse to raise property taxes to feed the need of the local government, that will be the reward, more and higher taxes. And the mismanagement will continue. That is why SWFL will always lag behind. And the government subsists on the individual property owner taxes, no real growth, no real jobs, no manufacturing, no business.
You work all off your life and save, then you move to SWFL and the government got both of their hand in your pocket taking everything you earned, they get fat and your retirement goes POOF
Cape Coral Paradise but they'll let you keep a boat in the backyard, aren't they wonnerful.

in SWF, does anyone have a handle on which municiple government or county is the best managed?

is there some data on comparative mill rates?

is there an advantage to being in an unincorporated area?

Correct me if I'm wrong but with the homestead tax exemption doesn't that stop them doing what you're saying?

Kro, I just made my CC house the primary home for that same reason. Well that, and that state taxes benefit.

Thank you for volunteering to come and taking a share of city's depopulation and collapse of housing problem.
For 24 McDonalds jobs, 2500 individulas waited in lines and applied among them teachers, engineers and other professions with degree.

Thank you for volunteering to come and taking a slice of the economic burden.

Just read in the paper the other day about Cape Coral charging homeowners a monthly fee of $45 even if you turn off your water. Another Cape Coral PRIVILEGE fee. If you buy a house from foreclosure or other strange situations where the previous owners have not kept up with this monthly $45 fee. The new owner has to pay in full before Cape Coral will turn on your water. What crazy people made up that wacky rule???? Do they reveal this fee before you commit to the purchase or is it sprung on you at settlement?
