how about an inventory of on-water dining in SWF?

these are the ones I know about:
- Benedetto's (PG)
http://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationP...a_Florida.html

- Green Flash (Captiva)
http://www.greenflashcaptiva.com/

- lighthouse (Punta Rassa, not the one on FM beach)

- Parrot Key (San Carlos Island - before FM Beach)

- Docs Beachhouse (Bonita) ...roadhouse fare

- M Waterfront (North Naples)

- Dock at Crayton Cove (Naples)

- Sunset Grille (formerly Tide) (Marco)

- Stilts (Marco) ..for the sunset view, reviews say food is marginal, so order easy stuff to cook

I hesitate to tell everyone about my fav waterfront dining spot but it is where the locals go ~ Bonita Bill's on San Carlos Island... you can arrive by car or boat. Cash only, beer & wine, great prices on everything & you can pick up fresh shrimp from trawler at end of the pier. They also have a great breakfast.

This is absolutely not a tourist trap so don't expect fancy shmancy anything... it is one of the very few places where you can bring a leashed dog. They even have water bowls out for the pups!

I love to hear about everyone's personal take on the area's ammenities! Boy oh boy there are some angry defensive people on this forum though so I don't blame you. I am moving from Arizona to Florida and when I give my take of having lived in AZ over on that side of the forum I get the most angry, defensive, ignorant responses! Thank you for the info on your favorite place!

You forgot "Lover's Key" resort, Flippers is the name of the Waterfront Restaurant and it has the best view of Estero Bay you will ever find.
Excellent Burgers and Wings, some really nice Salads too.

You will also find another Waterfront Eatery near Big Hickory Pass, they sell Gas and there is a nice restauarant tucked in behind the docks,
Big Hickory Marina is where it is located, maybe someone can tell us the name.
They have an awesome Grilled Chicken Sandwich on a Pannini bread with Mozzerella cheese and a Balsamic Glaze

If you go under the Bonita Beach Road overpass by boat and go around, you can get to " The Fish House"
It is located at 4685 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs and you can tie up your Boat or drive up with your car. We love the Wings there , they are served on top of the French Fries, it lets the sauce soak into the fries for a great tatse. They also have good Garlic Bread, we always ask for 1 Garlic Bread loaf to 2 orders of wings, its always full of locals and they have a lot of Seafood specials.
